The last book I've read is Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. It an American love story that takes place in time during and after the Civil War in the States and inspired classic Hollywood film of the same name.
Margaret Mitchell was born in the South, in Georgia, and was told the stories about the Civil War. Those stories became a source for the novel that was published \(1936\). Three years later the iconic film was released. Vivien Leigh was awarded the Oscar for her part of Scarlett O'Hara.
Scarlett is an embodiment of a high-spirited woman. She lost everything, but she fought her way in life during one of the most tumultuous periods in America's history. She went all the way from spoiled young woman to a wise person who understands life and people. So Gone with the Wind is a story about survival. She came through catastrophes, starvation and chaos and it made her even stronger.
There is also a love triangle between Scarlett, Rhett Butler, a cynical but charming businessman, who falls for her, admiring her feminine attraction, and Ashley Wilkes, the man Scarlett loved for a long time. This is the story of love, passion, betrayal and loss.
Gone with the Wind was followed by the sequel, Scarlett by Alexandra Ripley, published in \(1991\). The readers loved the story, though it wasn't critically acclaimed.
Write true, false, doesn’t say:
1. Margaret Mitchell was born in the South, in Georgia, and was told the stories about the Civil War.
2. Vivien Leigh wasn't awarded the Oscar for her part of Scarlett O'Hara.
3. Gone with the Wind was followed by the sequel, Scarlett by the same author, published in \(1991\).
